The owner of Oddessy Martial Arts Supply is Mr. Ted Winningham. Mr. Winningham is a 6th Degree Black Belt and holder of the Oyata family scroll. This scroll is the highest honor in the Ryute Organization. It was bestowed on Ted by “Taika” Seiyu Oyata, who founded the International Ryute Organization. Mr. Oyata has been Ted’s instructor, mentor, and advisor since 1980.

Ted, his wife Joyce, and his daughter, Mechelle, opened Oddessy in late 1988, Their Granddaughters Erica and Brooke are also valued employees of the store. Their commitment to quality and customer appreciation has ensured their success. The company, with this commitment, has experienced steady and constant growth, which continues to this very day.
